Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Grand Rapids, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Grand Rapids is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Grand Rapids follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was SO GOOD! 5 stars for the food. The lady who helped us at the register and brought out food was nice and helpful too. The only complaint I have is the upkeep and questionable cleanliness. While reading the menus behind the register, I noticed the one on the right had some dust, but then realized the vent right next to it was extremely dusty... If they have that clearly visible, what does that mean about the areas we don't see? We want to visit again and give another try, because the food was seriously delicious. Hopefully they do a good clean soon and keep up on it!

I was told by the cashier that the vegetarian ramen and soba option has chicken fat in it. Thatβs crazy! Not vegetarian friendly. Vegetarians can go somewhere else. Pork belly in tonkatsu ramen was excellent, I will definitely come back (without my friend)

After giving them a second try I am now a fan! This time we sat down and ate. I ordered the Tonkotsu modern which REALLY good. This will be my go to place for ramen in Grand Rapids.

First time here, visiting out of town and I always crave and go for ramen when Iβm in another city since my town doesnβt have a ramen place. Went on a Friday evening and it wasnβt busy. I did have to wait maybe 10 mins (which I didnβt mind) before they took my order because they had a sign saying they are short staffed. That gave me time to look at the menu since this is an order first then sit down type of restaurant. They give you a buzzer that lets you know youβre food is ready to pick up. I ordered Hakata Classic and chicken karaage. The soup is so flavorful (tasted authentic), the pork chasu so tender! The chicken karaage is juicy but could be crispier (Iβm comparing it to Slurping Turtles in Chicago which is way crispier). The egg is hard boiled and not runny though but I donβt care about that as much. The price is cheaper than other ramen places. Will definitely come back and try other dishes!

This was my first time to have Ramen dining out and I was pleasantly surprised! The classic Hokkaido (#11) was super tasty! It is a big bowl and I was not able to fit in all the broth. Don't hesitate to compliment the chef by slurping these up. I can't wait to try out another menu item!
